We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong background in the advanced therapies/biologics/pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. We foster a high-performance culture at our Leiden site, where innovation and a "can-do" state of mind are central to our operations.In this role, you will be part of our Gene Therapies team, which is responsible for the onboarding and execution of test methods using various techniques such as ELISA, qPCR, dPCR, and cell culture. You will work with clinical and commercial samples, ensuring quality control is an integral part of the supply chain for our gene therapies.
The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
• Perform laboratory testing, calculations, and documentation of test results
- Provide support in operational tasks including equipment maintenance, sample preparation, document management, and work cell setup
- Analyze and review data, collaborating with peers and supervisors
- Deliver on test activities as per schedule and lab priorities, ensuring right the first-time testing
- Comply with safety and compliance best practices in a GMP/GLP environment
- Learning about the QC methods relative to the product quality
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree (MLO/HLO) in Life Sciences, molecular biology or comparable
- Proficient written and oral communication skills in English
- Proactive, independent, flexible, and organized with the ability to work both individually and in a team
- Experience with techniques such as; ELISA, cell culturing, qPCR, dPCR, cell-based bioassays
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience is preferred
- Experience working with virus material is a plus
- Familiarity with lean principles or 5S methodologies is advantageous
- Knowledge of GMP standards is beneficial
